Summer is in full swing, and we want to carelessly walk around the city, sunbathe on the beach or relax by the pool. But now is not the time to relax: despite the fact that, due to sunlight, a certain amount of vitamin D is formed in the epidermis, ultraviolet rays are generally harmful to the skin. They cause burns, reddening, destroy the collagen ligaments of the dermis, as a result of which the skin loses its elasticity, smoothness and wrinkles. It is especially important to protect the skin in the summer when the sun is most active.

We have collected for you 7 irreplaceable tips for skin care in the hot period, which will help maintain its elasticity and healthy appearance.

Use sunscreen

No matter how trite it may sound, but sunscreen is one of the main assistants of your skin in the fight against ultraviolet radiation. It is recommended to apply it not only in summer, when the sun exposure level is higher, but throughout the whole year. Dermatologists recommend using a cream with a level of protection of at least SPF 30. Means must be applied 20-30 minutes before going outside. If you are going to swim, after bathing, apply the cream again. The use of sunscreen can significantly reduce the amount of pigment spots, delay the appearance of wrinkles on the skin. The cream should be changed every 6 months.

Scrub the skin

The basic rule of skin care is regular scrubbing. If this is not done, dead skin patches clog the pores and the skin does not breathe. Peeling gives the skin a healthy look and well-groomed. Apply the scrub in a circular motion 2-3 times a week before applying the cream or makeup. After the procedure, do not forget to moisturize the skin.

Minimal makeup

When it comes to makeup in the summer months, try to limit the minimum amount of funds. The skin must breathe, especially in hot and stuffy weather. If you cannot do without a tonal framework, use a foundation with SPF, and to prevent stains, apply powder. Do not forget the lips. Instead of lipstick, use gloss or lip balm with an SPF of 15. With regard to eye makeup, it is advisable to avoid too intense makeup. Ideal – neatly painted eyelashes.

Water is your best friend

Do not forget about water. High temperatures and dry air lead to dehydration, which can lead to headaches and dizziness. Try to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. If possible, take a bottle of water with you and drink it every 30 minutes. It helps in maintaining body water balance and detoxification.

Moisturize the skin

If you think that in the summer the skin does not need moisture, then you are mistaken. But in the summer it is worth changing the heavy moisturizers that you used in the winter to lighter and more quickly absorbed. Choose low-fat creams, preferably with an SPF, and apply them immediately after a shower.

Eat right

The condition of your body, including the skin, depends largely on your nutrition. Eating fat and heavy foods will make you lethargic, and your skin – oily and acne. Switch to seasonal fruits and vegetables and stop eating sugary drinks. Replace them with natural juices or water.

Let your skin breathe

In hot weather, wear clothes made of cotton and light natural fabrics. Synthetic tight clothing can cause irritation, itching and excessive sweating. This can lead to rashes and skin infections.
